UpNext North Jersey

Thank you for participating in UpNext North Jersey! We created this group to engage motivated change-makers, ages 21-30, who are interested in shaping transportation and land use policy in our 13-county northern and central New Jersey region. Your input and feedback are vital to the work that the NJTPA does. Incorporating diverse perspectives, like yours, into our transportation planning work helps us make our transportation system better for everyone.

Our goal for this site to share information and give you a place where you can network and communicate with each other. Have ideas for how we can improve it? Reach out to Melissa at mhayes@njtpa.org.

Thanks to everyone who came out to Kickin It and Connect, the UpNext and NJTPA networking event in June! For those who missed it, you can check out the recap here.

NJTPA staff shared information about our Active Transportation Plan Update, which is getting underway this summer. We'll share the project website as soon as it's live, but this effort includes two trail extension studies, the Pompton Valley Rail Trail and the Traction Line Recreation Trail. Stay tuned for details!

We're in the process of planning events for the coming year! If you have a suggestion, head over to the Ideas tool and post a sticky note! We'd love to get your input.
